Have Faith

Let's take a moment and ponder on the meaning of faith. What does it means? I don't know exactly what is the circumstances of your life as you read this blog, whether you're happy, sad, worried or depressed or even thinking of giving up as life can be very hard sometimes. With the state of the world as it is right now, I'm not surprised that you're going through some pretty difficult time right now.

The Holy Quran teaches us that God will not allow us to carry a burden that we cannot lift. Adversity sometimes strike us down so bad that we wonder how on earth can you move forward in life. Or worst, you feel that God has abandoned you and you're alone in this world. Must be how Prophet Job felt when he went through so much adversities in his life, one bad news to another.

As all it takes is a ray of light to illuminate a dark room, I believe that hope is the foundation of faith. Without hope, we surrender to our fate without putting up a fight. I believe that's why we are tested so damn many times  in our lives, to make us fighters not for Him, not for religion, not for family or anything else for that matter. God wants us to fight for US. YOU who is reading this blog now.

I have gone through some pretty rough times these past few years. Don't get me wrong, there were happy moments too. Those happy moments are the ones that I cherished the most. Although I'm far from perfect and I have many faults within myself, I take comfort of the fact that I'm on the road to try to be a better person. It's one thing I've learned about life is that you gotta fight for what you believe in. No one is going to fight that fight for you. You have to do it yourself.

I choose to believe that in those moments of hardship and difficulties, God has a hand in it somewhere with a master design to make me a better person. A stronger believer in God and humanity. In the darkness that is engulfing this world, I will light a candle and illuminate the darkness with ME.

Thank you for reading.
